#### Description:

In this activity, students plug inputs into an unknown linear function machine then examine the outputs in an attempt to identify the function being performed. This activity allows students to explore linear functions and what inputs will help them get the output as quickly as possible. This activity includes supplemental materials, including background information about the topics covered, a description of how to use the application, and exploration questions for use with the java applet.
