Description:

Students begin by contemplating the value of their ceramic experience and contemplate their individual and group identity. They review foundational ceramic terminology while experimenting with the three major clay bodies. They create basic clay slabs and challenge themselves to utilize as many texture and decorating techniques as they can to build a repertoire of ideas for the future. They further prepare by utilizing their ceramic items as a base of mass production using silicone and plastic.
