Reviewer Comments:

This resource provides teachers with a strategy for teaching students about election campaigns that is engaging and thoughtful. The lesson plan includes clear objectives, detailed procedures, relevant links, and many of the needed materials to implement the lesson. The lesson begins with a teacher led discussion of the history of election campaigns and then students research and create a campaign for a candidate. The handouts provided support student research and understanding of the assignment. It should be noted that teachers need to make groups and select candidates that are easily researched. Depending on the timing of the lesson, it might work to use candidates in current election.
