Description:

Students explore the relationships among lines, slopes, and y-intercepts in the context of printing their algebra textbooks. Presented with a real-world problem, they use the cost structures of three companies to create and compare tables and graphs as they decide which printer should be chosen. The problem is then extended and ends with a letter to a Board of Education.
