Early in the summer of 2007, the Department of Physics and Astronomy at James Madison University (JMU) received $250,000 from the Toyota USA Foundation to fund the University’s efforts in the development and training of physics and physical science teachers in the state of Virginia in general and in the Shenandoah Valley region in particular.
