This is an easy and enjoyable activity for older students. It is quick and easy for the student to assess learning. The advantages Students are unlikely to find solutions on the web. Requires synthesizing information (do not allow bullets). You can score during presentation and correct errors in learning at the same time. Students brainstorm in groups, but work individually. The student who does pay attention in the group is not likely to do well. I use the work on a practical exam. It allows students to be creative. My students would ask to do this type of assignment again. This is basically a RAFT Activity Role: An advertising agent. Audience: potential employers Form: Display Ad. Theme - any topic you are studying. This is an activity adapted from the work of Steven McCollum.

This is a great starting point for project development. Each teacher will need to develop their own procedure/lesson of how to present a project to their students. They will also need to create a scoring guide.
