This site offers online access to a series of two-minute radio programs about nature, science, and seasonal cultural events around the globe. From the homepage, users can access an MP3 recording and a transcript of the program for the day and an archive of past programs dating back to 1996. Podcasts of the daily programs and illustrated feature stories, usually a page in length, are also available. Topics of past radio programs are diverse and include a set about tsunamis, a set about particle physics, a program lauding dung beetles, and a program revealing how a scientist learned about forest conservation from indigenous people in Thailand. The programs incorporate interviews with experts and often feature sounds from nature. In the archive, color coding indicates if the programs are available in transcript form only or transcript and MP3 formats. Copyright 2005 Eisenhower National Clearinghouse
