15 July 2006 This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) image shows remnants -- buttes and knobs -- of light-toned rock, perhaps sedimentary in origin, on the floor of Rabe Crater. The buttes and knobs are surrounded by dark, windblown sands that are crisscrossed dust devil tracks.
