Reviewer Comments:

The first of this two part resource has already been reviewed. It provides excellent questions for each chapter of the novel, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. The second part of this resource provides a sample budget in the time period of the novel – the Great Depression. This worksheet has THEN and NOW columns and itemized items include: clothing, food, wages, entertainment, toys, and items for the home. This would be a very useful graphic for building background information while teaching the novel.
