This web site contains the research-based curricular materials on junior-level Electricity and Magnetism developed by the University of Colorado Science Education Initiative group. This course is the first semester of a two-semester course covering electro- and magneto-statics and closely follows the standard text by David Griffiths, “Introduction to Electrodynamics.” The materials provided include concept tests, homework questions, tutorials, lecture notes, instructor guides, and the results of studies of student difficulties with the class. All of the materials for this course are available in a single large zip file on the web site. Materials can also be downloaded by individual topic and type at http://www.compadre.org/psrc/items/Relations.cfm?ID=7891. To help hide sensitive materials from students, these online materials do not include the assessments developed as part of the course: Midterm and final exams, solutions to homework and exams, etc. If you would like access to those materials, please email Steven Pollock at steven.pollock@colorado.edu.
