But, as Humphries and Mould emphasize in their Perspective, the crystal structure of aVb3 integrin has now been resolved to 3.1 Å (Xiong et al.), a triumph that will be of particular benefit for designing anti-adhesive drugs that block the interactions of integrins with their ligands.
