Description:

This is a lesson about elemental abundance in solar wind. Learners will simulate the extraction of elements from the Genesis wafers by counting elements extracted from a simulated sample. This will help them learn how the Genesis samples help scientists have a better understanding of the abundances of elements from the solar wind - and how they can be used as a baseline to compare with the diverse bodies of our solar system.
