This lesson deals with scientific notation. Students are given a set of facts about the world couched in full decimal notation and then shown the clarity achieved by changing to scientific notation. The formatting of the lesson leaves something to be desired. There is an odd mixture of fonts, and the out-the-door questions are horribly confused by a bad choice in spacing.
