This virtual manipulative offers two modes for examining the patterns of multiples found on a grid displaying the numbers 2-200. In one mode, the student clicks a number on the grid, turning it red and removing all multiples of the number from the grid. This process can be repeated until only prime numbers remain. In the other mode, the student highlights one or two numbers, with multiples of the first turning red and the second blue. In both modes, number patterns and relationships can be observed. Instructions for use, student activities, and information about the applet for parents and teachers are included, along with a link to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Standard for Number and Operations.
