This website presents facts about and descriptions of skulls. Vivid color images of skulls shown face-on and from the side supplement the text. Teachers can find information about how skulls protect animals during head-butting contests, along with how their shape can help scientists determine an animal's age and sex. Some of the text is arranged in a question and answer format with the answers being given by noted scientists. A unique feature that enhances the learning process allows teachers to rotate selected skull images 360 degrees so they can view them from any angle. Copyright 2005 Eisenhower National Clearinghouse
