Description:

What is a skull? Answers to that question from scientists and educators are provided on this site. Responses vary from aesthetic appreciation to evolutionary function. Visitors will first see a collection of thumbnail images of fifteen types of skulls, such as those of an owl, a monkey, and an elephant. When they mouse over the images, a text bar will appear identifying the organism the skull comes from. Copyright 2005 Eisenhower National Clearinghouse
