SkyServer is the public web site for the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), a project to create a detailed 3-D map of the universe. The data are grouped in a variety of ways, including an image gallery of famous astronomical objects, and are searchable with tools for browsing star fields, spectra, or plates. There is also a query search function. For teachers there is also a series of astronomy lessons and activities, with teachers guides, that use SDSS data.
