Description:

This 4-page monograph discusses the relationship between mathematics and numeracy. It proposes a school-wide, interdisciplinary approach for developing students' ability to apply math in the their daily lives and for deepening their understanding of all subjects. The article illustrates necessary considerations with a sample problem. It includes a list of references and related readings.
