This Technology Problem of the Week (tPoW) shows a tangram set (one small square, one parallelogram, and triangles of three different sizes), assigns a cost to the smallest triangles, and then challenges students to determine the cost of the other five pieces and the overall value of the complete set. The tPoW further asks what fraction of the area of the large square each piece represents, and the percent of the total area of the large square made up of triangles.
