Description:

This power point was for social studies, but the basics of writing analogies crosses disciplines. I like to teach students to write analogies. Then they present their analogies to the class explaining why the right answer is right and the wrong ones wrong. I score during presentations. I use some of their analogies on their tests. Unlike Miller's analogies these follow the rules of writing analogies. As I understand it, Miller developed his test to look more for the "out-the-box" thinkers.
