Description:

This 3-lesson unit employs basic tessellation tasks to develop a student's understanding and application of geometric transformations. Students use drawings, pattern blocks and scissor cutouts to effect transformations and create tessellations. Students are asked to write about their processes. Learning materials, an open-ended assessment and rubric are provided.
