Written by a committee of the National Academies's National Research Council, this new 176-page report "presents a detailed analysis of the Internet's infrastructure and provides a set of guiding principles for those who build and operate its components and for policy-makers who attempt to regulate it." It also identifies key trends in the evolution of the Internet and examines a variety of current and prospective challenges.
