Description:

Students will have the opportunity to derive the ratio of hydrogen to oxygen in water through this inquiry-based investigation as they observe hydrogen and oxygen gases collect as water molecules are decomposed using electrolysis. Students will be led through an understanding of matter, including compounds and have an indirect understanding that compounds are always formed in fixed ratios prior to this experience. This was originally a Word file, so it didn\'t copy quite right - The margins are off and my diagram of the set-up did not copy.
