Description:

This folder contains materials for week one of the novel unit (readings 1 – 3 (p. 1 – 56)). As pre-reading activities, there is an anticipation guide and a probable passage assignment. For classroom use there are a set of quick quiz questions, plot events, important passages and a list of vocabulary words. For summative assessment there is a vocabulary test for the week’s reading. Finally, there is a literary elements lesson plan on figurative language to use during the week.
