Description:

What does a biochemist actually do? This is the introductory page for a set of materials about biochemistry as a career. Here students read about the variety of work done by biochemists. They are also introduced to a real biotechnologist who genetically engineers corn. In the remaining materials, students can review the career profile of a biochemist, view a video clip of the featured biochemist sharing information about her work, ask her questions on a discussion board, and investigate the route that this particular biochemist and biochemists in general take to become professionals in their field.
