Description:

In this activity, students decide how much a head start the tortoise should get in a race against the hare. Then the student watches the race unfold and tries to determine a pattern and who will win. This activity allows students to explore sequences, limits, and infinity. This activity includes supplemental materials, including background information about the topics covered, a description of how to use the application, and exploration questions for use with the java applet.
