Description:

Created by faculty members at the University of Virgina, through this activity, students will gain an understanding of the effect of the sample size on experiments and simulations. A Microsoft Excel program file and handouts are provided. The authors structure the lesson in this fashion: probability topics, assumed prior experience, rationale, learning objectives, materials & technology needed, procedure and assessment. This is a nice comprehensive lesson for instructors teaching courses in statistics.
