Description:

This article from the May 23, 2003 of EETimes by Junko Yoshida describes wristbands embedded with an RFID chip. The technology "allows doctors to add, change or create new triage records on the chip." In the future, the status and position of a wounded soldier who is wearing such a wristband could be monitored while he or she is recovering at a medical facility or used to track soldiers on the battlefield.
