This short unit plan provides an overview of a week of lessons that introduce students to pre-colonial America. The plan has guiding questions, NY state standards, objectives, necessary materials, activities, and assessments. The plan includes some very good ideas such as journaling and a project on Native Americans, however, it does not include content, actual details of the assignments, or specific procedures for implementation. Teachers could use this resource by looking at the overview and then developing some of the suggested activities.
