Reviewer Comments:

This resource is a unit on developing and developed nations. There are a series of lessons that cover key issues related to development such as human rights, outsourcing, and population growth. All of the lessons include clear and easy to follow readings and thoughtful questions to reinforce the concepts to the students. Highlights include a project to design a university curriculum, an analysis of different policy options on how to help developing countries, a pamphlet that shares information about human rights violations, and an examination of China’s policies on population control. Overall, the lessons are varied and appeal to many different types of learners. It should be noted that each lesson in the unit begins with classroom specific references that would need to be changed in order to meet the needs of individual teachers.
