This unit plan consists of three lesson plans. The purpose of each lesson plan is for students to gather data and apply the probability terms likely, unlikely, and impossible to specific situations in order to make predictions. These lessons are designed to be used by 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade teachers to introduce probability vocabulary and concepts to students in multiple curriculum settings. A children's book, cafeteria meals, and weather predictions are incorporated into the plans.
