This activity originally from an Annenberg Learner's Teaching Math Grades 3-5 course helps learners develop effective reasoning skills by modeling a situation and making it easier. Students use the interactive to figure out the total number of valentines exchanged among students in different-sized classes. A lesson plan and student activity sheets are provided.
