Virtual DNA Fingerprinting Laboratory is an interactive exercise that involves students in solving a forensic mystery. Over the course of seven episodes, they collect evidence, extract DNA, perform a southern blot, use polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and finally solve the crime. Information about the subject of DNA fingerprinting builds as students progress through the episodes.
