Reviewer Comments:

This lesson plan introduces students to the concept of wikis and is targeted for grades 6 – 10, although the activity could be used successfully younger students as well. Students first create a practice wiki using the instructions and content provided in the lesson. Afterwards, peers will discuss ideas for the creation of their own subject-specific wikis. This basic lesson gives even inexperienced teachers the tools they need to get started with wikis. Before using this lesson, it would be helpful for teachers to assemble a list of existing wikis to show as functioning examples.
