Reviewer Comments:

This rich unit guides students to write a response to “Who are you anyway?” The directions are very clear and systematic. Many graphic organizers are included to help the student brainstorm and list vivid vocabulary words; create webs of events of people, objects, events and places; and instruction is given on how to weave them together. Scoring guides are also provided. Direction is given to arrange sentences provided into meaningful, flowing paragraphs; transition words are offered; self-revision guidelines are provided as well as forms for peer reviews.
