Description:

Parts of Yasuni National Park, Ecuador, are already open to oil exploration. Oil companies from the United States and China have built more than 20 kilometers of roads like this one and even refineries. A proposal to preserve the rest of the park from oil drilling has "failed," according to Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa.
