This may be rather shocking to read, but there are plenty of things that they don’t teach you about being a practising Botox administrator on Botox courses! You may think that you have all of the answers, and of course you are fully trained and qualified after completing a Botox course to offer Botox injections to patients, but there are going to be aspects of running a Botox business that the majority of Botox courses simply don’t go over, and that means that a huge number of qualified Botox administrators never actually achieve their dream of successfully having a Botox career of their own. So what is the number one thing that they don’t know? It may surprise you: it’s how to make their Botox clinic welcoming.
It is a huge decision for most people, deciding to have Botox. It can take weeks, if not months of agonising over the decision before they come to the conclusion that it is the right thing to do, and it can be very overwhelming to walk into a Botox clinic that does not feel warm, or welcoming, or friendly. That is why it is so vital that you make sure anyone, no matter who they are. This may seem a little challenging, as it is simply not possible to please everyone; everyone has different tastes and you simply can’t please everyone! There are, however, simple choices that you can make that will enable your Botox clinic to really help people feel happy:
You’re an individual, and so your office should reflect some of that individuality. You want your patients to be able to come in to your place of work and feel a little bit as though they are coming to visit a friend, somewhere they can be welcomed. Try having some paintings or photographs that you love up on the walls, and beautiful soft furnishings on the chairs where people will wait. Try out different things, and see whether or not people respond well, and remember that just putting a painting up on the way does not require you to commit to it forever!
So many hospitals and other medical areas use very cool colours; white, light blues, and light greens. They are beautiful colours, but they are now considered to be very clinical colours and that can make people feel as though they are in a hospital, sick and ill. To combat that feeling, use warm colours like reds and yellows, so that your patients will feel happier and calmer, and you don’t have to completely alter all of your decorations and have everything block red; just some highlights here and there will make all the difference.
Music has the power the completely change our emotions, and as soon as you hear a piece of music that you love, you can be instantly transported back to a time and place when they were so happy. That is the power that you should harness when people are waiting to be seen with you at your Botox clinic, but don’t choose something too cheesy like jazz music. Try some modern music that is relaxing with a slower tempo, and you could even ask your patients what sort of music they prefer!
These may not have been taught these things at your Botox course, but there’s no need to feel as though you’ve missed out; you can now put all of this information into practice, and really start to make a difference to the way that people feel when they come to you for Botox treatment.
