Reviewer Comments:

This is a very fine lesson on quadratic equations and parabolic graphs, allowing students to see the essential properties of a parabola from its equation. There are a lively set of photographs and an increasing complex but motivated sequence of equations. Unfortunately, about halfway thru the equations, the author loses the exponent and has students classifying a sequence of linear equations.
