Reviewer Comments:

This collection of websites offers supplementary readings in the Social Studies. The first link is to the State Department. It has thirteen chapters about US History. The readings are accurate, but do not go into great detail or include any visual images. The second link is to SchoolHistory.co.uk, an excellent site with thousands of resources for both students and teachers. For example, there are full online history lessons covering topics from Oliver Cromwell to the Cold War. CRT strongly recommends spending time on this site to explore the range of useful materials. The third link is for Andy’s American History Worksheets. This teacher created site has worksheets about early American history, and each one includes a poem, questions, a puzzle, and related links. The next link is to the CIA World Factbook, an incredible reference site that has extensive demographic, historical, and economic information about countries around the world. There are also teacher lesson plans, kids pages, and regional maps. The last link is to Shmoop, a site with clearly written and accessible study guides.
